PARKING in and around Brixham

All of the 3 main council-owned car parks in Brixham attract charges based on the duration of your stay (E.g. from £1.60 for 1 hour to £5.10 for up to 4 hours - 2023).  The countryside parking areas at Berry Head and Sharkham are owned by the Torbay Coast & Countyside Trust; remote parking areas to the south of Brixham at Woodish - for access to Man Sands, Scabbacombe and Coleton - are owned by the National Trust; unless you are a member, both of these organisations make charges for use of their car parks.  There is some roadside parking in the town, if you know where to find it!  Between the breakwater and Shooalstone, parking is permitted October to April.

There are many opportunies for walks either straight from Rockrose or from other locations nearby.  Why not take a short stroll out to Berry Head or a longer trek to Kinswear via the coastal foothpath?

There is no shortage of pubs in Brixham offering a wide range of food and drinks.  Many are accessible in the town, the harbourside or a little further afield

Brixham and the surrounding areas are rich in wildlife and other elements of natural history.  Rare birds, bats and plants are specialities along with the special geology and limestone caves

There are 5 beaches within the imeadiate vacinity of Brixham.  They have varied features and facilities.  Others remote beaches can be accessed after a good walk or there are larger more traditional seaside beaches in Torbay

There are many great places to eat in Brixham and around Torbay.  Prices to suit all budgets can be found in some local pubs, restaurants and traditional fish and chip shops!
